Dr. Ogu is also the founder and president of First Foundation Medical Clinic in Lincolnton, North Carolina as well as Union Medical Clinic in Gastonia, North Carolina USA. Both clinics specialize in the care of patients with various types of cardiovascular diseases including but not limited to Hypertension, Congestive Heart Failure, Ischemic Heart Disease, Cerebrovascular Accidents (stroke), lung diseases such as Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. The clinics also specialize in kidney and liver diseases, most forms of arthritis, diseases of the prostate as well as sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Ogu has a special interest in the management of Diabetes Mellitus and its complications.

Dr. Ogu attended high school at Government College Umuahia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. He completed his medical degree in the Dominican Republic before proceeding to the United States where he did his internship and residency training in internal medicine at the New York Methodist Hospital. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the North Carolina Medical Society.
