What is OSA?

The blocking of your airway which causes snoring and cessation of breathing temporarily. As a result, blood pressure is elevated and blood oxygen levels drops.

Symptoms of OSA

Snoring
Excessive daytime sleepiness
High blood pressure
Poor memory and/or concentration
Irritability/depression

Treatment of OSA

A small bedside device delivers airway pressure (PAP) through a mask during sleep. The air acts as a splint to keep your airway open.

What is a Sleep Study?

Also known as Polysomnography, a sleep study is a test used to diagnose sleep disorders. The process records your brain waves, the oxygen level in your blood, heart rate and breathing, as well as eye and leg movements during the study.
